I feel people around the globe see L.A as a beautiful calm city they make L.A seem so perfect. They think all L.A people are nice hold each others hands and theres no problems portrayed in L.A thats what i feel the stereo types are
peoples perception of cali around the word is that its dangerous out here and that everybody raps and smoke weed all day and party .
The perception of Los Angeles is for the most part positive in nature. La usually brings thoughts of warm weather, clear skies and palm trees, although there are a few major negative thoughts about the populace of La which is the involvement of people in gangs and drug activity in the more urban areas of Los Angeles.
people think La is the best place to be with the most classyest people and also ghetto with a style that no other city has and also we are famous for some dance moves that people wanna see on youtube and people stereotype on that LA is bad and they are too ghetto
I think there perception is something like alot of other, its dangerous; i wouldnt got there; its dirty; etc etc. And the things people put on the media and tv make people really not want to come to the west coast period because of the danger. Some look at it like they want to come here because of the good wheather and the fun they hear.

I think L.A. is comparable to New York in media presence, it’s one of the biggest spots for artists and the like. I don’t really watch T.V. or movies or stuff like that, so I can’t comment on L.A. as a media presence. Using what I’ve heard, L.A. is presented as a pretty bad place with little reedeming qualities.

Well in Hollywood they have good glamorous things out in Hollywood. L.A. they say that we are DANGEROUS and also they said that we pay a lot of money for Apartments, Duplex, and Houses. So that’s my comment i guess…..

I think many people who come to Los Angeles have a negative perception of it. Even though many people come to Los Angeles with the thought that it is a warm place to be and perfect for summer vacations, based on what the media shows these people would still consider Los Angeles a dangerous place to be due to the the amopount of gang related activites.

I believe that people think that Cali is the spot to be. They think it is cool because of hollywood. One steriotype of cali is that we have many celebrites and palm trees all over.

Many people on the outside looking in see Los Angeles as the place to be. They believe it’s all palm trees and movies stars. These people are completely unaware of the true citizen of Los Angeles.I will not deny that we do have celebrities here and there are palm trees here and there but there is a lot more to Los Angeles than these things. Los Angeles is a melting pot of diversity withing cultures, races, ethnicities, etc. So, to the people who plan to come here for their vacations, the City of Los Angeles isn’t all that it seems.
I THINK THAT THE PEOPLE OF l.a. ARE SCARED TO BE ON MEDIA BUT DO IT ANYWAYS FOR THE FAME. THEY HAVE ALOT OF DIFFERENT OPPINIONS ON MEDIA. I DONT REALLY KNOW WHO LIKES OR DOES NOT LIKE ALOT OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEDIA.
i belive that people around the globe think that l.a is a place to do do crazy things, party , drugs . live that lifestyle tht is always seen in the movies. and the media just helps to put emphasis on thoose things.
Many people around the country see L.A as great place because its in California, which is a place for opportunity. However the media makes L.A seem as bad as it is good. When I watch news whenever I hears news about L.A, the news usually mentions either the dangers of the area or about its positive aspects. Based on the media, I think people stereotype L.A with being a place of both opportunity and danger.
I think people around the globe think people in L.A are high all the time. They think we are spoiled and everybody goes to the beach everyday. They also think about movie stars.
la is a place that people will think is very dangerous or very fun and interesting. many people come to la to see our famous landmarks and to just experience the hype thats carried behind it. others think la is a very bad, they think its filled with gang bangers and people who want nothingf in life.

Prolly the most stereotypical view of L.A. is most likely the gang violence we have here. It seem that everyone view los angeles as a gang city , other than the marijuana we have they are scared to come visit this beautiful city that open up a lot of doors .

Most people I spoke to while in the south thought people from L.A. were stuck up and not educated, everyone was rich. A few felt the only people who were rich were the white people and that the select few blacks that were rich acted like white people. While these statements are false, many people believe these statements, even some residents of Los Angeles. the media doesn’t help either, in every movie about the “the Los Angeles life” you see African Americans living in slums and fighting for their lives or being in gangs like wild animals. Now that very image is what people think when someone says their from, L.A.

people who are not from L.A. see it as a tourist destination. they see the televised version of South central and the snooty hi rent district.people believe everyone is fashionable and hangs out with celebrities. which is far from the truth.
The stereotypes that are about LA is that the weather is nice and its the perfect place to be at to get anything started. LA can be a very cautious place to reside in and people look right over that.

People love california espescially the people who haven’t been here they think its it. Awesome but california isn’t real what the stereotypes make it to be.
People who dont live in L.A or haven’t visited L.A. probably have a negative look on the city. On the news or on the internet they dont have alot of good stuff most of time. Bu t they also see it as a good thing where you can just come do have fun and do whatever you please.
